I'm trying hard not to though.
So, here's the story. After finishing my Cats picture Monday night, I got into my stash to
find a new project to work on. I have fallen in love with 'Red', so decided to pick a piece
out of my stash, even if it was already put aside for another picture. It is 'the' picture I am
motivated to stitch right now... ya know? So, I decided on a non-traditional piece for her...
one that is more colorful and busy... and it had some pink in it. I'm usually a matchy-matchy
girl, but I thought this variation had a nice little twist to it... so I decided to be bold. Well,
I started putting in my stitches, had been working on it for two days, and at first didn't have
any problems with the colors, until I got to the main red in her dress. Oh my goodness!!!
It is way more tomato-y red than I thought it would be according to the picture, and there-
fore the boldness of the red with the pink-tinged fabric is just plain garish!!!
I laid out my floss-toss again, and the toss looks fine, but the actual stitches clash so badly
that I just cannot finish this picture! I thought I had found the perfect piece, and was so
excited to start stitching her, but now it's frogging time, & I am in I-hope-the-red-hasn't-
stained-my-fabric mode. This would be tragic, as it is one of my very favorite pieces.
Anyway.... now it's back to the drawing board to find something else to work on. I hate
being in-between projects. Okay....my vent is over. Sorry.
I hope I'm not the only one who's done something like this? I feel pretty silly at the moment.
