The size of the holes in 28 count fabric depends on the fabric:

* Lugana 28 and Jazlyn have fairly small holes
* Quaker (cotton/linen blend that looks like linen) and Cashel have the most open holes
* Annabelle (100% cotton, looks like a cross between linen and Lugana in terms of the slubbing is very even and controlled in the weave)
* if you want a tightly woven (fat threads and small holes as a result) evenweave, then Jubilee is really good.

All of these fabrics take dye really well, with Cashel dyeing the darkest (as noted for Belfast, but not as dark as Belfast), then Quaker, then on to the other evenweaves.
