I was thinking about Lagoon for Mermaid of Atlantis, but ended up doing her on PtP's Fathom in lugana since it was leftover from another Mira and she fit perfectly on there. Great fabric for a mermaid!

I prefer 32 count linen - definately my favorite fabric to stitch on. If a piece is heavily beaded will Mill Hills the beads will sit better on 28 count so that's something to consider. Lugana IS more even but I love the natural variations of linen.

I currently have projects going on 32 count linen, 32 count lugana, 28 count linen, 28 count lugana and 18 count aida. It really depends on the project....some factors include background color that I want, if it's to match something I've already done, the current state of my budget, fabric availability, if I have leftover fabric I want to use, etc.
