Hi Cassie.....  and welcome to the board, by the way!

I prefer lugana because the stitches always look even, and especially with 32ct or higher, it is easier to tell where the
stitch is going to be.  (that comes in handy with the darkest fabrics as well...such as black.)  I only ever stitched with
Lugana until I discovered my hand-dyed's.  I have recently bought some really beautiful pieces in Linen that I LOVE...
So I will have to just make do.    I have also discovered Jazlyn this last year, and I am really loving working with
it.  It's another evenweave similar to Lugana... though it has a touch more 'heathered' look to it... which softens it a bit.
I Stitched Sweet Pea on a Jazlyn Opal.

I love that the Belfast dyes up richer than evenweaves, but you do have to be careful that the color of fabric doesn't
overpower the stitches.  If I go too similar or dark in shade, I usually have to use patterns with colors that contrast, in
order for them to show up.....or else I tweak the colors so they pop more.

I don't know how helpful this is.... but I do hope you find some fabrics that you love!...be it either Linen or Lugana.
