I agree with Vanessa-I am so so about her-reminds me too much of the ther sideways one. will have to wait and see how it looks with a clear pic

I like her, but I think my cross stitch projects are pretty much set for the next two years :-) I'd buy the chart though.

I like what I see of her so far - it will be nice to see a better picture of her, though. Either way, I'll buy the chart, it seems like I'm collecting
all the mermaids. I really didn't think I'd like Shimmering Mermaid, but her colors are gorgeous.

Hey Zeb, I was wondering about her tail too. I think it looks more like a shark tail......moving side to side? It's still beautiful! Maybe she's twisting while she's swimming to adore her urn?!? LOL! |

Thats it Heidi! I was trying to figure out what it reminded me of, and shark/orca is perfect!!!
I think if her tail was a bit more elegant it would complete the image a bit more for me, but right now I'm sitting on the fence with her. The TOP half looks great, the bottom half not so... oh boy does that have connotations LOL!

I posted on another board about the "urn" question, but I have had a bit more of a squint at the picture. I don't think it is either a fish or an urn she is holding. I think she is holding an amphora - kind of urn shaped but a pointed, rather than flat, bottom. They were typically held in a tripod type device, and were used to store oils and other liquids by ancient Mediterranean civilisations (and even made it to what is now the UK with the Romans). |

much better pic on the mirabilia.com website. i like how you can choose two different ways to display once completed. veritcally or horizontally, i personally
like the way it is on the site, vertically.

Here is the better pic, and the writeup.
She swims to the depths of the sea to recover fragments of another mysterious world, hiding them away in her underwater castle so covered in moss and sealife that the treasure hunters will never find them. Note: This design can be displayed vertically (as shown) or horizontally (as charted).

 I LOVE her hanging vertically that way!!! That is the way I will be
stitching her for sure. Now if a very nice lady whose name begins with a "V" would do an overlay for all of us...my day would be made for sure

LOL, Shannon I already emailed her the better pic!!! I need an overlay too. When you get her framed you could ask for a wire both ways like when you buy a
generic frame. Then you can frame her upside down, upright or sideways.

And I will go for the reccomended fabric again because I love that color! I want to use evenweave and 28ct though.
