Posts: 65 05/16/09 6:47 AM	I have the chartpack on preorder without the silks. The chart itself will be expensive enough. I would love to do this is silk but I hate the 100/3 silks Nan has been using on her charts. 100/3 doesn't look any different from cotton floss to me and is more difficult to work with 2 strands. I just hope there is a DMC conversion so that I can convert it to silks of my own choosing.

It's actually got gold plated wire in it, which accounts for the cost. It's up to you whether you feel it's worth it...you could certainly use BF or Kreinik braid to get a shimmery effect in place of it. I have it in the Dragonfly silk kit and it's so beautiful...definitely worth it to me and you get a lot so you can use it on other projects.
