OMG...I just checked out Chateliane yuku mb, and she is releasing some of the older charts. One of them being the Japanese Octagonial Box that I have been wanting.

yes i found that yesterday... put my order in for Japanese Octagonal Box... tempted with the tuscany one to... but it's buying the supplies that's the real oucher.... and I have knotgarden ready and kitted I'd also like to do convents Herbal garden.... but with eveything the way it is and a rather fat stash all ready I don't think I can justify to much of a splash... but its love with the Japanese oct box so I might be able to justify that to myself.... as long as I have the pattern and the specialities I can stitch it in a few years....

I am also going to splurge but I have to wait a couple weeks. I am getting St. Petersburg. My $$ this month went into a couple online classes while Martina is still offering a small discount for those.

Debbie, St. Pete is my baby! That's the one that sunk me and was my first class. It is so gorgeous. I want to sign up for the Christmas mystery but haven't gotten around to it yet. I cheated and looked at the finished picture and *have* to have it.

The Japanese mandala has also been re-released.

I ordered the Japanese mandela a few weeks back from an ONS and am waiting for it to arrive. From when that got released a month or so ago.

I am also very much in love with the Japanese box and am thinking of ordering that and maybe signing up for one of the online classes too. ''The only other pattern I have from her is the mermaid box. So I have never even stitched one of her designs up before, but they look so cool. Normally I can resist and admire most of them, but I have a hard time resisting Japanese stuff.

I am trying to wrap my head around supplies too. I am just slowly starting to build a little silk stash, and I am not sure how I feel about NPI, and if it makes a difference using that or the regular DMC. I can see springing for the other variegated silks, but for some at like 5-8 bucks a pop I have to think on this.

Aww Heidi, go ahead...it doesn't cost anything to look I just ordered the Japanese Octagon Box (seems to be popular) should we have a race on this one...just kidding I only paid about $21.00 for just the chart, and there is a conversion for DMC, so it won't cost an arm and a leg like the whole kit does. But I will send it to have it finished professionally.

BTW, did you read Martina's note to mean all of the patterns would be released in chartpack form in February? I wasn't quite sure what she was trying to say there ...

Chart pack probably means paper. She's having major problems with people in Russia and China stealing the online files. There have been over 1,000 "steals" from Russia alone in the last month. There's a post about her redoing things on the Chatelaine BB, the Announcements forum I think.

I just got "Hawaiian Mandala" and I went to EXS site to get the supplies. OVER 300USD!

. Needless to say my jaw dropped It's funny how I can afford the pattern but not the supplies!

Wow. What a huge release! Good on her though (Martina) she is giving stitchers what they want and she will get added income.

I'm tempted with ST Pertersburg and Secret Victorian Garden but I have never completed a Chatelaine and have THREE huge mandala's as UFO's - I really can't justify buying and kitting one up... I'm in on a chatelaine SAL if one gets going though

Chatelaine Chart Pack:

It means that she is releasing her previous class (12 months charts) in 1 pack under PDF format. So each PDF file in 1 zipped folder.

The problem with the Russians is that they are hacking her server and getting her files. Meaning, 1 bought the class and distributed the password and russians just kept downloading her files. That's stealing her work. That's why she designed another way of doing the work, like the Patterns Online system : You purchase a chart and you will get a link to download the file. When you get the file you can see that there is your name in the chart so when you print your char it shows that it was for you, and only for you.
