Well, in a last hurrah before turning the big 40 on Saturday, I wanted to tell you all that I got fushia pink chunks/streaks in my hair. I had to go get my roots done today, and I just woke up and thought why not? My hair is pretty long, it's dark brown but a sort of blah brown--so I get the base color a reddish auburn, then I get blonde highlights all over, so these chunks are on either side of my face, just a little bit under the hair at the part so they aren't like "in your face" but sort of pop out underneath and near my face.
And it only occurred to me as I drove away that maybe I should have thought about this before I did it: not because I don't like it--I do--but because I am a college professor and I kind of don't want to run into, say the president of the school. He'll think I'm a freak! I can pretty much guarantee that I am the only faculty member with punky fushia pink in my hair!
Did any of you do anything out of character for your 30th, 40th?
Susan
