The perfect stitching day

We are on top of hill and although we are downtown our road is such that there is no way we can go anywhere when we get a snowfall like yesterday.... It means I cant even get into work although luckily yesterday was my day of so I did not lose a days pay. When the weather is that bad that I cant leave that means that it is a guiltfree stitching day as I cant go anywhere and nobody can come here so it is stitch , stitch , stitch...... the only interruption being supper but DH is very understanding and we make it a quickie meal and he does the dishes so I can retreat to my stitching room again! Posts: 124 12/21/08 9:23 AM	I love the snowy days! Pop in a movie of tv show on DVD, turn on the coffee pot, curl up under a blanket, and grab the stitching bag! I usually have to watch what the kids want to but this coming weekend (the 27th and 28th) I get to curl up in the house alone and stitch for 2 days. With working, school and the kids I haven't stitched since October! am looking forward to the time to stitch, but I will miss the kids. Misty Misty Stitches

Posts: 51 12/21/08 9:24 AM	The perfect stitching day has nothing to do with the weather outside. It has everything to do with the kids being inside. So snow and rain are out. The kids never stay outside when it rains and are only outside for a little while when it snows and then come back inside looking for hot chocolate. So I would rather have a sunny day when all my chores are done and the kids are at the neighbors house bothering them. Then it is peace and quiet and very enjoyable to get some stitching done. Posts: 494 12/21/08 3:17 PM	Rainy days are good stitching days for me since it doesn't really snow in my area of VA. Of course, our ice storm days are great days for stitching since I refuse to set foot outside on those days! You haven't seen crazy drivers until the black ice comes out! Also, really humid days during the summer are good stitching days too, even if it is sunny.......who wants to be outside on a 90+ day with 90% or more humidity?
