This is Stoney Creek's 2009 Christmas Sampler. It only took a couple of weeks to stitch. I made some changes - I used HDF silks instead of the called for fibres, and Swarovski crystals instead of the gold stars. Oh, and I managed to cut off the very topmost part in the photo!

Fabric size question?

What's the smallest border you'll leave on your project so that you can still lace it when you're done??? I've got a project in mind that would only leave less than 1 1/2 inches on the top and the bottom of a fat quarter. Do you think it's enough, or do I have to shell out the big bucks for a fat half???? Thanks!!

I have seen pics on some blogs of various Mirabilia RR's where there are smaller boxes and a portion of a Mira design is stitched in them (usually the head/torso). They are SOOO awesome!!

My question is, how does this work? Does the RR's owner mark the chart for what area they want stitched and then send it along to the participants, or do the participants choose their own.

Mill Hill Striped Beads-NOW STRAIGHTENED OUT!!

Does anyone know if Mill hill has striped beads that look like the mint candies? I am doing the Victoria Sampler gingerbread house and don't want to bu the expensive accessory pack as I have tiny buttons etc and converted the threads. bt I wouldn't mind some striped candy like seed beads-since the house is approx 4 inches or so small beads would be best

I was wondering about Cinderella and Sleeping Beauty. What do you all think - do they need to be both on the same count of fabric to go with each other? See, I've got this problem... I have a wonderful, gorgeous piece of SMF Nightshade in Belfast that I was thinking would be great for Cinderella.... And I have another gorgeous piece of Country Stitch's Eden that I thought would be great...

I stitched her for the contest in the Pixie forum.
Started 10/1 and completed tonight.
Stitched on Medium Green evenweave from Silkweavers. The only change is some adjustment to her foot. It doesn't look quite right to me but I like it better than how it was charted.
